Santa Carolina Reserva Pinot Noir - CHILE
VINEYARD The grapes used in this Pinot Noir originate from various vineyards in the Leyda valley. The soils of this valley –mostly granite– and the influence of the refreshing breeze and morning fog contributed by the Pacific Ocean combine to allow grapes, mainly cool-climate varieties, to ripen at a leisurely pace, which ultimately results in expressive and mineral wines.
TASTING NOTES This ruby red wine exhibits medium concentration and a nose of cherry, raspberry, hints of dried herbs, and moist earth. The attack is elegant and features nice acidity and firm but silky tannins that bestow a rich structure. Expressive wild red fruit complemented by an appealing underbrush note.
