Castello Banfi Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2015, 1 x 75cl
Brunello di Montalcino Castello Banfi is an ace for quality, for aging potential and for quality-price-range. It is easily available on the market and is also produced in the pragmatic half-litre-bottle. It is obtained with pure Sangiovese grapes coming from clonal selection by Prof. Attilio Scienza in collaboration with the University of Milan. Austere and aristocratic wine reflects the characteristics of its territory, whose virtues it sings. It is vinified in Horizon wood and steel tanks of 177 hectoliters and matured in French oak barrels of different sizes for two years followed by a further year of aging in bottle.
Ruby garment with garnet highlights. The nose is well marked by aromas of violet and cherry, cola nuts, rhubarb, oregano, mentholated tobacco and black pepper. The taste is a pleasant and rounded phenolic texture that is expressed with a perfectly dissolved tannin in a measured structure.
Perfect with a pork knuckle but also with aged cheeses such as pit.
