PIERSANTI - Verdicchio Castelli di Jesi
Pale straw with clear tones of pear and melon on the nose. Dry and medium-bodied with well-balanced acidity and fruit on the palate, and a clean finish.
One of the most famous and historically noteworthy wines in the Marches region, the dry white wines sold under this title are made from the ancient Verdicchio grape variety stated in the title. Legend has it that when the troops of the king of the Visigoths, Alarich (370-410 AD) marched on Rome, they were provided with barrels of Verdicchio to maintain their strength.
